MultiCategories 1.3.3 for Evolution CMS

A short ecosystem article on MultiCategories as a plugin for projects that need more than one simple category assignment per resource.

MultiCategories belongs to the class of extras that become valuable as soon as a project outgrows one-dimensional classification. If a resource needs to live in more than one conceptual bucket, a single category field starts to feel restrictive very quickly.

Version 1.3.3 is still useful to document because the package solves a very real modeling need in Evolution CMS projects.

Where it fits

  • Resources that need multiple category memberships.
  • Catalogs or article sets that do not fit one strict branch.
  • Filtering flows that benefit from richer category assignment.

That makes MultiCategories less a novelty and more a useful structural tool for projects with overlapping taxonomies.
