Using the Cirkuit TinyMCE Skin in Evolution CMS

An extras-style note about bringing the Revolution default TinyMCE skin into Evolution CMS for a more polished editing experience.

The Cirkuit TinyMCE skin gave Evolution CMS managers a cleaner editor appearance and helped narrow the visual gap between Evolution and Revolution setups of that era.

What the donor package provided

  • an archive for automatic installation into the site root
  • manual installation instructions for older Evolution versions
  • skin activation through TinyMCE configuration or manager settings

Manual install summary

  1. copy the cirkuit skin directory into the TinyMCE skins folder
  2. set the TinyMCE skin value to cirkuit
  3. on newer builds, use the TinyMCE interface settings instead of editing the init file manually
