sSeo v1.3.1: Pagination Canonicals and Friendly URL File Endpoint Fixes

sSeo v1.3.1 is a focused SEO maintenance release for pagination and machine-readable endpoints such as sitemap XML, robots.txt, JSON feeds, and web manifests.

sSeo v1.3.1 improves how Evolution CMS projects handle canonical URLs on paginated pages and prevents friendly URL suffix logic from interfering with file-style endpoints.

What changed

  • Added self-referencing canonical URLs for query-based and path-based pagination.
  • Excluded unrelated query parameters from pagination canonical URLs.
  • Made pagination pages indexable by default.
  • Preserved explicit document, TV, and configured noindex_get rules.
  • Updated pagination settings and help text in English, Ukrainian, and Russian.

What was fixed

  • Friendly URL suffix redirects no longer apply to .xml, .txt, .json, and .webmanifest endpoints.
  • Canonical generation for paginated pages is now more predictable.

Upgrade notes

No database changes are required. Pagination pages are now indexable by default; if a project intentionally excludes them, add the pagination parameter, usually page, to noindex_get or configure an explicit robots rule.
