Resource History for Evolution CMS: Preview and Roll Back Document Versions
A package-oriented post about document version history in Evolution CMS and why previewing and restoring older resource states matters on editorial sites.
Version history is one of those features that sounds optional until a real editor overwrites something important. A package like Resource History matters because it turns document recovery from a database problem into a normal editorial workflow: inspect earlier revisions, preview what changed, and roll back when needed.
That is especially useful on sites where multiple people touch the same resources or where landing pages evolve quickly during campaigns. Even a simple restore mechanism can save a lot of time compared with manually reconstructing content from memory or backups.
Why this belongs in Extras
- it solves a concrete editorial safety problem
- it adds preview and restore value directly around resource editing
- it is the kind of package teams look for only after they need it
