InnovaStudio WYSIWYG Editor for Evolution CMS: A Different Editing Path
A historical ecosystem note about replacing or upgrading the editor layer beyond TinyMCE.
TinyMCE was the usual default in many Evolution projects, but it was not the only direction teams explored. This article captures one of the alternative editor paths around Evo: using the InnovaStudio WYSIWYG editor and tuning its defaults for cleaner real-world work.
Why this matters historically
- it shows that editor choice was an active ecosystem question, not a fixed default
- it reflects the long-standing effort to improve authoring UX inside the manager
- it adds more depth to the story of how Evo teams balanced editing comfort against HTML control
For the archive, this is a useful reminder that the old Evolution ecosystem was more experimental around editing tools than people sometimes remember.
Why this belongs in the timeline
Alternative editor paths are part of the platform’s history too. They reveal how much attention the community gave to the authoring experience, not only the frontend result.
