Getting Mapex v2 Working in the Manager

A quick checklist for Mapex v2 installs that succeed as a package but still fail to render inside the manager or TV field.

Mapex-style manager tools can appear to install correctly and still show nothing when editors try to use them. In that situation the package is often present, but the TV configuration, template access, or manager assets are not wired the way the component expects.

What to Check

  • the TV exists and is assigned to the templates you are testing
  • the input type matches the package requirements
  • manager assets were really published to the expected location
  • the component version matches the CMS version you run

When the field is blank in the manager, strip the setup down to one template and one TV first. Once the field renders in the smallest case, expand the configuration step by step.
