Forms Module: A Visual Form Generator for Evolution CMS

An extras-style overview of an older forms generator module that let teams build and store manager-driven forms without hand-coding every field.

This legacy module was a form generator for Evolution CMS manager users. Its purpose was simple: define forms visually in the admin area and collect submitted data without rebuilding the same field structures over and over again.

What it offered

  • visual form configuration inside the manager
  • automatic form rendering through a snippet
  • storage of submitted data in the database
  • a friendlier workflow for non-developer form setup

The original post mainly introduced the module and shared screenshots rather than deep internals, but the value was clear: for teams that repeatedly build contact, request, or utility forms, a generator can remove a lot of repetitive work.

In modern projects you may choose a different tooling path, but this remains a good example of how Evolution CMS users kept turning repeated editorial pain points into focused manager tools.
